Flowmotion

‘For more than two decades, Flowmotion has been a staple of the Pacific Northwest music scene, blending funk, rock, jam, soul, and world music into high-energy performances that keep dance floors grooving and moving from the first note to the encore. Alongside the band’s rise, founder Josh Clauson created the legendary Summer Meltdown Festival, with the festival and the band growing together into beloved Pacific Northwest institutions.

Throughout its evolution, Flowmotion has featured an exceptional cast of musicians from across the region, continually raising the bar while staying true to its improvisational roots. The current lineup is one of the band’s strongest yet.

On bass is Farko Dosumov, the internationally respected virtuoso from Uzbekistan whose explosive technique, deep groove, and musicality have earned him recognition as one of Seattle’s finest bassists. His playing draws comparisons to legends like Jaco Pastorius and modern innovators such as Joe Dart, while remaining unmistakably his own.

Keyboardist Don Goodwin brings decades of musicianship and composition to the band. Holding a Master of Music degree, Don has written many of Flowmotion’s most beloved songs. He, his brother Scott Goodwin, and percussionist Bob Reese joined Flowmotion in 2003 after their work together with La Push, helping shape the band’s signature sound for years.

Whether performing intimate clubs, theaters, or major festivals, Flowmotion continues to deliver adventurous music rooted in deep musicianship, infectious grooves, and the spontaneous magic that has made the band a Pacific Northwest favorite for more than two decades.
